Case Study

Jarlia By Jolina is an independent fine jewelry label. The founder chose to feature herself and her daughter, turning the campaign into a generational story.

The Brief

A luxury beauty and product campaign with the founder and her daughter as subjects. Assets ready for advertising, e-commerce and PR.

The Challenge

Lighting dark skin to its full richness while keeping the sharp speculars fine jewelry needs is one of the hardest problems in studio. Two non-models, no margin for technical error.

The Approach

A two-layer rig: a base tuned for dark skin luminosity, a secondary specular system added for metals and stones. Mother-daughter direction built on shared gestures, not posed symmetry.

The Execution

Studio shoot run on two parallel tracks: beauty portraits and macro product passes on the same lighting foundation. Frequency-separation retouching protects skin texture while sharpening jewelry highlights.

The Outcome

An editorial-grade library that places Jarlia next to established jewelry houses, with a heritage story that reads as visible truth, not marketing claim.
