Case Study
Yaëlle Béatrix is a French painter working from a studio in London. For her solo show at Burgh House, Hampstead — 6 to 17 March 2024 — we made a short series of films and stills around her studio practice and the weeks before the private view.
The Brief
Build sustained attention for a 12-day exhibition without leaning on the opening night alone.
The Challenge
A short run, a quiet Hampstead venue, and an audience scattered across London. The work needed to carry the show on its own through social, ahead of any press.
The Approach
Long looks into the atelier. Hands on canvas. The hush of an empty exhibition room before the wine arrives. We traded promotion for atmosphere — what it feels like to spend time in the space before the public does.
The Execution
Three reels of studio practice, three short invitation cuts, and two reflective posts after the show closed. Direction, camera and edit kept in a single voice across the run.
The Outcome
The reels carried the exhibition on the artist's own channels — the opening drew a full room and the work continued to circulate after the show closed.
Released
On the artist's feed
Films and stills released on the artist's feed, in posting order.
