1. Who operates Morax Chat

Morax Chat is operated by Morax Photography, by Etienne Morax, from the United Kingdom. For questions about this policy or your data, email info@moraxphotography.com.

2. What Morax Chat receives

When an authorised account is connected, Morax Chat may receive and store:

  • messages and attachments made available through WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or Gmail;
  • sender and recipient details such as names, handles, email addresses, and platform account identifiers;
  • message timestamps, conversation status, and other information needed to organise the inbox;
  • connection and authorisation information, including access tokens or similar credentials supplied by the platform.

3. Why we use it

We use this information only to provide Morax Chat: to receive, display, organise, and search conversations in one inbox; maintain account connections; secure the service; and troubleshoot failures. Morax Chat is receive-only: it cannot send messages or respond to conversations. We do not sell the information, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles unrelated to the connected conversations. The content of messages is never used to train an artificial intelligence model.

4. Legal bases

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we process the connected account and conversation data on these legal bases: processing needed to perform the contract with the account holder, including receiving, displaying, organising, and searching their connected conversations and maintaining their connections; and our legitimate interest in presenting the account holder with their own correspondence in a private, organised inbox and keeping that service secure and reliable.

5. Where it is stored and who can access it

Morax Chat is hosted on private infrastructure. Access is limited to authorised Morax Chat users and the operator when needed to run, secure, or support the service. The connected platforms remain separate controllers of data they process on their own services; their own policies apply to those services.

6. Retention and security

Conversation data is kept while it is needed to operate the connected inbox. You can ask us to delete it or disconnect a source at any time. We use access controls and private hosting to reduce unauthorised access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not send information through a connected channel unless you are comfortable with it being processed for the conversation.

7. Your requests

To ask for access, correction, or deletion, contact info@moraxphotography.com. Include the connected account or conversation concerned so we can verify and locate the request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority. We may need to keep a minimal record of the request or information required by law.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when Morax Chat or its data practices change. The date above shows when this page was last revised.
