Showreel 2024 is the clearest expression of Morax's current motion language: controlled, atmospheric and commercially versatile, without losing authorship.
The Brief
Create an annual portfolio film distilling the strongest 2024 work into a short editorial piece. The aim is selection, not summary, of material that defines the studio's direction.
The Challenge
Reducing a year of varied material into a reel that feels singular rather than assembled. Different clients, locations, formats and lighting all pull in different directions.
The Approach
Selection prioritised control over quantity. Shots were chosen for how they speak to each other: movement against stillness, intimacy against scale, polish against immediacy.
The Execution
Built as a portfolio film first and a retrospective second. The pace stays taut, transitions almost invisible, and grade continuity carries different productions inside one register.
The Outcome
A concise portfolio statement that presents Morax at full contemporary strength, giving commissioners and collaborators an immediate read of the studio's range.
