Case Study

Alex Isidro leads the sales and lettings teams at United Kingdom Sotheby’s International Realty, after fifteen years in prime London real estate. His portraits carry that in front of clients who never meet him first — which is why they get remade rather than reused.

The Brief

New lifestyle portraits of the Managing Director for press, platform profiles and brand use — booked around a single hour in his diary, in Mayfair rather than a studio, and repeated a year later without breaking continuity with the first set.

The Challenge

An hour, inside a working day, for a set that had to cover several uses at once: press and profile frames, and looser lifestyle images the brand could run alongside property work. Anything that read as a headshot booth was wrong for a firm selling Prime Central London. And when the second session came round a year later, the new frames had to sit beside the first ones without a visible break.

The Approach

Two environments per session, one visual language. Interiors gave controlled, lamp-lit frames with soft furnishings and a domestic scale; the walled garden gave daylight, greenery and a change of register in the same building — variety in the edit without a second call time. Portraiture kept long and close to natural: 85mm, wide open, background falling away so the subject carries the frame.

The Execution

A rotation of short stations: standing by the console, seated in the armchair, then outside for the garden frames, alternating posture and expression at each one. The 2026 session repeated the 2025 lighting and grade so both years read as one archive rather than two commissions.

The Outcome

A portrait set that runs from press and the company’s own management page to LinkedIn, refreshed a year on without changing the visual language behind it.
